*A Handicap Index is the portable measure of your playing ability. It can be used anywhere in the world and is a great way to measure changes in your game and play with your friends! To earn a USGA Handicap Index, a player must report all scores for all 18-hole rounds during the official season when at least 10-17 holes of an 18-hole round are completed and nine holes for a nine-hole round, home and away, played in either match or stroke play. 54-holes (can be made up of 9 or 18 holes) of play are required to obtain a handicap index.
